Toyota Forklift Trucks History

Some TOYOTA Forklift Truck Service Repair Manuals PDF & Wiring Schematic Diagram are above the page.

In 1939, the first loader was launched in Japan, but the beginning of the Second World War stopped the development of the industry for some time. Even before the war, a small number of three-ton electric trucks was produced.

And when, during the occupation, several import loaders were imported into the country to unload escort vessels, the design engineers of Japan, having assessed the high level of technical excellence, decided to start producing their own loaders, assuming that their products would be in great demand in the conditions of the country's economic recovery.

In the spring of 1955, the first concept loader, with a lifting capacity of 1 ton, equipped with a gasoline unit, was released. The prototype was sent for testing at the plant, where development engineers monitored its work and analyzed the data for three months.

According to the results of the experiments, it was decided that from March next year, the plant could begin mass production of the first Toyota LA forklifts.

Following the LA model, the 1.35-ton Toyota LAW forklift was soon developed and released, and by the end of the year, the towing range was added to the range of special equipment.

In order to survive in an environment of growing competition from global manufacturers, the company's board decides on the construction of production facilities in the United States and France.

Despite the downturn in the Japanese economy, the company continues to develop and launch new models of loading equipment, introducing the Toyota 6FG / FD small forklifts, which focused on operator comfort and ergonomics.

The approach of the XXI century was marked by the introduction of innovative technologies and the release of the seventh series of forklifts, characterized by the highest characteristics in terms of safety. In 1995, Toyota Motor celebrates the release of the millionth forklift.

In 2000, Toyota bought the Swedish company, BT Industries, one of the most famous manufacturers of warehouse machinery in Europe, which makes the corporation a leader in the global warehouse equipment industry.

The novelty of the year 2000 becomes the seventh series forklift, including three-bearing models 7FBE and four-bearing - 7FB. The design of three-support loaders combined all the characteristics of the previous series and was supplemented with new technical solutions. The principal differences between the new model are the AC motor and the active stabilization system.
